Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. (1Pt.5:7)

 

I want to share a word of encouragement from this verse I studied.

Many of you have cares often with the way your children are today. Many of you are worried about a coming court day. Many of you have cares and worries with your son or daughter in jail. There are many things in life which cause us to have worries and cares. There are personal cares, family cares, cares for the present, cares for the future, for others, for the church.

Cares will torture and distract the mind. They will cause us to sigh and toss and turn at night. They will cause us to flare up in anger all of a sudden. Cares will make us unfit for our duties at work, most of all they will hinder our joy in the Lord.

We need to realize that storms will pass. We need to realize that behind the clouds the sun is still shining bright. We need to realize that the Lord has conquered the power of satan. We need to realize that the Lord has a special interest in our family as well and that He has included them in the covenant He made with us.

As the clouds hide the bright sun, we can become so weighed down with our cares and problems that we fail to sense the Presence of God. Leave all your cares to His wise and gracious disposal.
