TABERNACLE

There was only one way for the Tabernacle to be made, God's way. There is only one
way to heaven-Jesus. (John 10:9)
The outside of the tent was made only of skins of animals, but inside dwelt the
Lord. Just like Jesus, people only saw what He looked like on the outside, but
inside this body was God.
He came unto his own, and his own received
Him not. (John 1:11)
In the Tabernacle, the High Priest made a sacrifice over and over again, but Christ
made a sacrifice once for all time, He finished it at the cross.

But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the
right hand of God. (Heb. 10:12)
The Tabernacle stood in a place where everyone could see it, and could come to the
High Priest. We can come to Jesus anytime, the cross stood on a hill, everyone could
see it, we also can see it by faith. In the Old Testament, God lived outside the
Tabernacle, but in the New Testament He lives inside the believer.
Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that
The Spirit of God dwelleth in you? (1Cor.3:16)

God told Moses to build the Tabernacle, this was built so man would know how to
approach God. The Hebrew word for Tabernacle means tent, home, or dwelling place.
The Lord wants to make His home in your heart, He wants to dwell there.
Noah had to build the Ark the way God said to build it. Cain did not follow God's
instructions on how to make a sacrifice. He used vegetables instead of a lamb. We
cannot tell God how we will come to Him. We must come the way He tells us in His
Word.

Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born
again, he cannot see the Kingdom of God. (1John 3:3)
This is the way God wants us to come to Him.
The people were going back to the land flowing with milk and honey, the promised
land. Whenever God said to move they moved.
We are on a journey in this world, some day God will call us to stand before Him.
There was a place called the Holy of holies. God is righteous and holy. He demands
death as payment for sin.

God told Moses, the Tabernacle must have two rooms. The first room, which was
entered from the outside, was called the holy place, or the separate place. God had
to be in a separate place away from the people. This room was called the Holy of
Holies, and was used only for Him, God.
The High Priest could only go into the place once a year. This High Priest was in
the same room where God was. This was the center of where the children of Israel
lived. They stood their tents all around this place, three tribes in the south,
three tribes in the north, three tribes in the east, and three tribes in the west.
This is how God wants his children to reference Him, to be in one mind and one
accord around Him.

Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for the
brethren to dwell together in unity! (Ps.133:1)

God told Moses to make a special box called the Ark of the Covenant. The lid was to
be made of pure gold to be put on top of the ark inside the Holy of holies. This lid
was called the mercy seat, it was the most important place of the tabernacle. This
was the place God would show mercy to the people. Mercy is what we need as sinners
to escape the punishment we deserve for our sins. The publican cried...."God be merciful
to me a sinner." (Luke 18:13)

God told Moses to make two gold cherubim to stand on each side of the mercy seat.
God placed two cherubim outside the Garden of Eden, so Adam and Eve could not go in
again. These angels protected the Tree of Life. In the Tabernacle, it was to show,
the angels protected the Holy place where God was.
There was a very bright light between the cherubim where God was. This bright light
was called the Shekinah glory, the radiance, glory, or presence of God living with
His people-Israel in the wilderness.

We live in a world like a wilderness, but Jesus is here. He walks in our midst
calling us to come to Him. When we allow Him to come into our hearts, His Shekinah
glory is in us, His Presence is in us. Oh! how marvelous to know this truth, that He
wants to live in people who don't deserve mercy.
In some believers the Holy Spirit is not allowed to take possession of the whole
man: spirit, soul, and body. As a result there is no victory in the believer's life
and walk.

We must live in the Spirit, the Holy Spirit and walk in Him, if we would have victory.
